Boston, MA – December 16, 2013 – Covington Associates, a leading middle-market investment banking firm, is pleased to announce the acquisition of its client Applied Computational Technologies, LLC.

Applied Computational Technologies, LLC (ACT)*, a developer of software for life sciences application in
radiation treatment planning, completed a sale of certain assets to Varian Medical Systems (VAR – NYSE),
a leading manufacturer of medical devices and software for treating cancer and other medical conditions.
