Covington Associates believes in being active members of our community. Whether the activity is an annual event, or ongoing commitment, a donation of time, or resources, our professionals strive to give back to the communities in which they live and work in whatever way they can.
Angel Flight
Angel Flight is a volunteer corps of over 1,200 private pilots and "Earth Angels", including our own Chris Covington, who combine their love of flying with the spirit of grassroots volunteerism by flying patients and their families to the critical health care they need.
Angel Flight's air service is available to patients and their families whose financial resources do not permit them to travel by other means to get needed diagnosis or treatment. Angel Flight also flies patients and families who are unable to use public transportation because of their medical condition and who need to fly immediately, or who live in remote areas where public transportation is not available. Chris Covington regularly pilots patients from the New England area to and from the medical care they need.
Angel Flight's costs are covered by the generous donations of private and corporate donors, and by the pilots who volunteer their time and planes. To learn more about Angel Flight, please visit www.angelflightne.org or contact them at [978] 794–6868.

Rodman Ride
The Rodman Ride for Kids is a one-day cycling tour that raises money for nonprofit agencies that promote healthy, positive lives for children throughout New England. Since its inception in 1991, the Rodman Ride for Kids has raised over $21 million for a variety of organizations that serve children at-risk. Beneficiaries of the Ride work together, year-round, to collaborate on the planning and implementation of this annual event.
Riders choose a 25, 50, or 100 mile bike tour through scenic routes in Southeastern Massachusetts and raise funds through corporate sponsorships and individual donations.
Each fall, Covington Associates sponsors a team of riders led by our own Michael Papile. If you would like to join the Covington Team, please contact Michael. Year Up
Year Up was founded on the belief that everyone deserves the opportunity to realize his or her potential. An individual's ability to succeed is unlimited, yet for many of our nation's urban young adults, this potential is never realized. Year Up's mission is to close the Opportunity Divide by providing urban young adults with the skills, experience, and support that will empower them to reach their potential through professional careers and higher education. Year Up achieves this mission through a high support, high expectation model that combines marketable job skills, stipends, apprenticeships, college credit, a behavior management system and several levels of support to place young adults on a viable path to economic self-sufficiency.
Year Up is a one-year, intensive training program that provides urban young adults, ages 18-24, with a combination of hands-on skill development, college credits, and corporate apprenticeships. Equal emphasis is placed on developing the professional skills required in today's workplace such as effective communication, leadership, and teamwork. Managing Director Tom Cibotti participates in the mentor program and provides support, guidance and advice to Year Up students. To learn more about Year Up, please visit their website at www.yearup.org or contact the organization at [617] 542-1533.
